Language Based Teacher


Join Arbor Associates: Empowering Special Education Since 1982. As one of Boston Business Journal's "Best Places to Work," we're seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for our Language-Based Program at our education client. The hours for this position are 7:55 am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead our Language-Based Program, providing specialized instruction and support for students with significant language-based disabilities
  • Develop and implement tailored IEPs, conducting diagnostic assessments and evaluations
  • Chair Review meetings and maintain comprehensive student documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including school psychologists, BCBAs, and related service providers
  • Design and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs
  • Provide inclusion support and manage educational learning center activities
  • Implement behavior management strategies and conduct functional assessments
  • Maintain strong parent/guardian relationships and facilitate effective communication

Required Qualifications

  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education License: Moderate Disabilities 5-8
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
  • Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement
  • 2-3 years experience working with language-based disabilities
  • Experience with Wilson or other reading programs
  • Strong background in IEP development and Special Education Regulations
