Join our team as a dedicated Special Education Teacher working with 4th-5th grade students. Your Role as a Special Education Teacher:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will work in a district committed to inclusive education and student success. You will have an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development. You will have a supportive administration team prioritizing teacher well-being and classroom support. This is a contract role that runs through the end of the school year. The hours for this position are from 8:55 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities as a Special Education Teacher:
- Provide expert instruction in an inclusive classroom setting, designing and implementing personalized learning strategies
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that support students' unique learning needs
- Conduct comprehensive academic assessments and evaluations
- Facilitate special education meetings and collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Create a dynamic, supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and engagement
- Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning strategies
- Analyze student performance data to track progress and adjust instructional approaches
- Support students' academic and social-emotional development
Job Requirements
Qualifications that Set You Apart as a Special Education Teacher:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree Required
- Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum of three years working with students with specific learning and other disabilities
- Experience writing IEPS and progress reports
- ESPED experience preferred
- Wilson/Orton Gillingham training a plus
- Department of Elementary and Secondary Education License: Moderate Disabilities K-8
- Safety Care Certification
- Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement
- Wilson Reading Certification preferred
