Great Barrington, Massachusetts
Arbor Associates is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a contract assignment at our client's school, nestled in the picturesque Berkshire hills of Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Create and maintain a supportive learning environment
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies
  • Participate in educational team meetings and professional development

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Massachusetts teaching certification in either:
    • Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8 or 5-12)
    • Severe Disabilities (All levels)
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
