Job Description
Clinician – Family-Based Intensive Treatment (FIT)
Pittsfield, MA + Berkshire County | Community-Based | Full-Time
If you’re looking for meaningful clinical work where you can actually change the trajectory of a child and their family, this is it. This role is focused on early, intensive intervention—working directly with children and families in their homes, schools, and communities to stabilize behaviors and build long-term success.
What You’ll Do
- Provide intensive family therapy in home and community settings
- Work with youth at risk of higher levels of care (DMH, MassHealth involvement)
- Maintain consistent engagement (3–5x per week) with families
- Complete assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing progress tracking
- Develop and monitor safety plans in real time
- Partner with schools, providers, and community supports
- Deliver coaching and guidance to families navigating complex challenges
What the Work Looks Like
- 70% field-based (homes, schools, community) | 30% admin
- Small caseload (5–10) = deeper impact per family
- Team-based model: work alongside family partners + support staff
- Shared on-call rotation (primarily phone-based; limited in-person response)

Job Requirements
What You Need
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- License-eligible or holding a license (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW)
- Willingness to obtain licensure within 6 months of eligibility
- Experience with children/families (internship, volunteer, or professional)
- Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rates based on licensure
- Mileage reimbursement
- On-call stipend + premium pay for response time
