Position Overview:
Arbor Associates is seeking an experienced Licensed Social Worker for a 13-week contract to join a Day Treatment Program team in Boston, MA, supporting adults dealing with mental health and/or substance use challenges. This role focuses on providing individual and group therapy in a supportive, client-centered environment. The Clinician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Arbor Associates is seeking an experienced Licensed Social Worker for a 13-week contract to join a Day Treatment Program team in Boston, MA, supporting adults dealing with mental health and/or substance use challenges. This role focuses on providing individual and group therapy in a supportive, client-centered environment. The Clinician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
This is a Monday through Friday, on-site position, 40 hours per week. Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and skills training.
- Orient new clients upon admission and obtain detailed intake information.
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans collaboratively with clients.
- Use patient-centered therapeutic interventions, including motivational interviewing, to support client outcomes.
- Document treatment plans, sessions, and other client interactions thoroughly and accurately.
- Maintain an active caseload, engaging patients fully in the program.
- Coordinate comprehensive discharge plans to ensure smooth transitions back to the community.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Licensure is highly preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, working with culturally diverse populations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues, with the ability to incorporate these considerations into clinical practice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of case management within the mental health field.
