Early Education Teacher

Location: Andover, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Position Type: Contract (3-Month Assignment)

Position Overview

A well-established daycare and early childhood education center in Andover, MA is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Education Teacher to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting young learners, creating engaging classroom experiences, and fostering a safe, positive environment where children can learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lessons.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Maintain positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
  • Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with all EEC regulations, center policies, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with classroom management, daily routines, and transitions.
  • Promote positive behavior and model appropriate social skills.


Job Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Massachusetts EEC Teacher Certification.
  • Completion of Strong Start 2.0 Training.
  • Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of child development best practices and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Experience creating engaging classroom activities and lesson plans.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • $24.00 per hour
  • 3-month contract assignment
