Position Overview
A well-established daycare and early childhood education center in Milton, MA is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Education Teacher to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting young learners, creating engaging classroom experiences, and fostering a safe, positive environment where children can learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lessons.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Maintain positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Ensure compliance with all EEC regulations, center policies, and safety procedures.
- Assist with classroom management, daily routines, and transitions.
- Promote positive behavior and model appropriate social skills.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Required
- Massachusetts EEC Teacher Certification.
- Completion of Strong Start 2.0 Training.
- Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Knowledge of child development best practices and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Experience creating engaging classroom activities and lesson plans.
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- $24.00 per hour
- 3-month contract assignment
