Preschool Teacher

Milton, MA | Contract Position

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care and supervision to preschool-aged children.
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational and developmental activities.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages learning, exploration, creativity, and social development.
• Support children's cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and communication development.
• Establish consistent classroom routines and expectations.
• Observe children's development and respond appropriately to individual needs and interests.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
• Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding children's experiences and development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Follow all health, safety, and childcare policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the needs of the classroom.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts EEC (Department of Early Education and Care) certification is required.
• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff.
• Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
• Commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

• Pay: $23-$24/hour
• Employment Type: Contract
• Certification: Massachusetts EEC certification required
