EEC Lead Teacher (After-School Program)
Location: Stoneham, MA
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $26/hour
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging EEC Certified Lead Teacher to support our after-school program. This role is ideal for an experienced preschool educator who is passionate about working with children in a structured, supportive, and fun environment.
The Lead Teacher will play a key role in creating a safe and enriching atmosphere for students while leading daily activities and supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities aligned with EEC standards and youth development best practices
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children
- Supervise and actively engage with students during program hours
- Support children’s social-emotional development and positive behavior management
- Collaborate with program staff and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with EEC regulations
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and school partners
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- EEC Certified Lead Teacher (Pre-K) required - After School designation prefered
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a preschool teacher
- Strong understanding of child development and classroom management strategies
- Ability to create engaging, structured activities for school-age children
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for working with children in a mission-driven environment
