Job Description

Early Education Teacher (3-Month Contract)

Location: Cambridge, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Compensation: Competitive pay based on EEC credentials (Teacher or Lead Teacher qualified)

Position Overview

A preschool program in Cambridge, MA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Education Teacher to join its team for a 3-month contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, play-based learning environment while gaining valuable experience with a respected early childhood program.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and committed to creating engaging learning experiences that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning through play.
  • Foster children's language, literacy, social-emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
  • Observe and document children's developmental progress.
  • Support daily classroom routines, including meals, outdoor play, rest time, and transitions.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and administration to ensure a high-quality educational experience.
  • Maintain classroom organization and adhere to all Massachusetts EEC regulations and program policies.


Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts EEC Teacher or Lead Teacher certification required.
  • Previous experience working in a preschool or early childhood education setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly pay based on Massachusetts EEC credentials.
  • Teacher-qualified candidates: Competitive hourly rate.
  • Lead Teacher-qualified candidates: Higher hourly rate reflecting advanced credentials and experience.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 3-month contract assignment
