Key Responsibilities
Child Care & Classroom Support
- Create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Engage children through play, structured activities, and daily routines
- Support positive behaviors using respectful guidance techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Curriculum & Learning
- Assist with planning and implementing lesson plans
- Participate in classroom activities with enthusiasm and creativity
- Observe and support children’s developmental progress
- Encourage individualized learning and inclusivity
Teamwork & Communication
- Collaborate with teachers and classroom staff
- Build positive relationships with families and caregivers
- Step into a Lead Teacher role when needed
Program Support
- Maintain accurate documentation and classroom records
- Follow all safety, confidentiality, and child protection policies
- Assist with additional center needs (light housekeeping, bus monitoring, etc.)
- Complete required professional development and training hours
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience working with young children
- Teacher Certification required
- CDA, early childhood coursework, or vocational training preferred
- Must be 21+ years old
- Valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to complete ongoing training (20+ hours annually)
