Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location: Wallingford, CT
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team supporting individuals in a residential setting in Wallingford, CT. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a safe, supportive environment while helping individuals maintain independence and quality of life. Due to the client's personal care needs and privacy preferences, we are seeking a caregiver who can meet the requirements of this assignment. Female caregivers are encouraged to apply.
Available Shifts:
- Sunday & Monday: 3:00 PM - 11:00PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Training Requirement:
- Must be able to complete 5 days of daytime training with 3 of those days in New Haven prior to starting the assigned schedule
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support in a residential environment
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote independence
- Provide support with personal hygiene and hygiene-related care
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment
- Complete documentation and communicate effectively with team members
- Encourage engagement in daily routines and community participation
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Female staff required for this assignment based on client care needs and privacy considerations
- Must be comfortable providing hands-on hygiene care as well as feeding and toileting when/if needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Experience in human services, caregiving, or residential support

Human Resources Manager
Judith Saraf joined Arbor in 2023 as the Human Resources Manager, responsible for overseeing HR functions and teams. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Plymouth State University and brings with her over 27 years of Human Resources related experience and knowledge working in the healthcare and hospitality fields. Judith has assisted companies streamline and implement HRIS systems, lead organizations through the shift to consumer driven health plans, executed talent management strategies including recruitment and retention initiatives and has many years of experience with internal employee and labor relations. She has a passion for employee engagement with creative programs and is one of many things she looks forward to bringing to the Arbor team. When not at work, she enjoys painting, and spending time with her husband and 3 sons. Judith also enjoys volunteering with “A Wish Come True” - a nonprofit that delivers wishes to critically ill children in Southeastern MA and Rhode Island.
