Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Per Diem, All Shifts

Location: Springfield, MA (Agawam, MA through Amherst, MA) | Pay: $19.00–$20.00/hour | Schedule: Per Diem, All Shifts

About the Opportunity

Arbor Associates is seeking compassionate, dependable, and flexible Direct Support Professionals to join our per diem team serving the greater Springfield area — covering programs from Agawam to Amherst. This is a rewarding opportunity to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve greater independence while making a meaningful difference in their daily lives.

Candidates must be able to pick up last-minute shifts and be willing to travel at least 40 minutes between various program locations.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct care and support to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a residential setting
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders as needed
• Promote independence, community integration, and person-centered goals
• Support individuals with recreational activities, appointments, and community outings
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
• Complete daily documentation, incident reports, and progress notes accurately
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, healthcare professionals, and team members
• Transport individuals to appointments and community activities as needed

  Qualifications
  
  
• Valid driver's license with a reliable means of transportation
• Ability to travel to various program locations up to 40+ minutes away
• Must be dependable, flexible, and available for last-minute shift coverage
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• 6+ months of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must be EEC (Department of Early Education and Care) cleared
• Restraint training a plus
• Ability to pass all required background checks
