Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Day Program/Classroom Support
Location: Housatonic, MA
Pay: $25.00/hour

We're seeking a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Housatonic, MA. This position primarily supports youth with special needs in a classroom setting, while also providing assistance in our adult program as needed based on program census.

Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Full-time daytime schedule
Position Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to youth with developmental and behavioral disabilities in a classroom environment.
- Assist students with daily classroom routines and activities while promoting independence and engagement.
- Support positive behavior interventions and maintain a safe, structured learning environment.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
- Provide toileting assistance when required.
- Float to the adult program to provide support when census or staffing needs require.
- Complete documentation accurately and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Follow all agency policies, safety procedures, and individualized support plans.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, special needs, or behavioral challenges preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with youth with special needs in a classroom setting.
- Must be willing to provide toileting assistance when needed.
- Experience assisting with ADLs is preferred.
- Must be flexible and willing to support both youth and adult programs as needed.
- Must be able to successfully pass an EEC background check.
- Reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic are required.
