Make a Difference Every Shift.
Arbor Associates is seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide per diem coverage in a residential group home supporting adult males with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.
This is more than a caregiving role—it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. We're looking for professionals who are comfortable being actively engaged, hands-on, and consistent in supporting individuals throughout their day. Whether you're helping build daily living skills, encouraging independence, or providing behavioral support, your presence and positive attitude make a difference.
If you're someone who enjoys staying active, building genuine connections, and creating a safe, supportive environment—not simply supervising from the sidelines—you'll thrive in this role. Every shift is an opportunity to help individuals reach their goals while being part of a team that values compassion, reliability, and person-centered care.
What You'll Do (Direct Support Professional)
- Provide compassionate, person-centered support in a structured residential group home setting.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, meal preparation, and daily routines.
- Build meaningful relationships by actively engaging with individuals through activities, skill development, and community involvement—this is a hands-on, active role.
- Support individuals with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs while promoting independence and dignity.
- Accurately document services provided and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure continuity of care.
What We're Looking For: (Direct Support Professionals)
- Availability to work 1st Shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM), 2nd Shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), and/or 3rd Shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM).
- Ability to reliably commute to and work in Middletown, CT.
- Comfortable supporting individuals with behavioral and developmental challenges.
- Dependable, compassionate, energetic, and eager to make a positive impact every day.
- Previous Direct Support Professional (DSP), caregiver, behavioral health, or human services experience is preferred but not required.
