Job Description
Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Weekend Positions Available
Location: Bristol, CT
Job Type: Part-Time Weekend Position
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality support to individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in the Bristol area. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life while providing hands-on support with daily living activities. PMT Certification is required for this role.
Available Schedules
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 11:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in a residential/community setting
- Assist with full Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene
- Support individuals with community participation and recreational activities
- Implement behavioral support strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with team members
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served
Job Requirements
- Current PMT (Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior/Physical Management Training) certification required
- Comfortable providing full ADL assistance
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior DSP or caregiving experience preferred
- Must be available to work weekends
