Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Per Diem / Float
Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) & 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) - Weekend availability required
Location: Central MA (Fitchburg, Brookfield, and surrounding areas)
Type: Per Diem / As-Needed Coverage - Opportunities in group homes, schools, and day programs
Arbor Associates is seeking flexible and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for last-minute and as-needed coverage across multiple programs throughout Central Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who wants variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to pick up shifts quickly across different locations.
What You’ll Do
As a DSP, you’ll support individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, and/or mental health needs. Your role is hands-on and impactful:
Provide daily care and supervision
Support independence and skill development
Maintain a safe, structured environment
Respond to behavioral or crisis situations as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to travel up to 40 minutes between assignments
- Availability for weekends (required)
- Experience in human services or DSP roles preferred
- Safety-Care and/or CPI/MAP training preferred
- Strong flexibility, reliability, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and teams

Job Requirements
Requirements
Minimum 6 months of relevant experience (DSP, CNA, HHA, Residential Counselor, PCA, childcare, or similar)
CPR & First Aid certification
Willingness to complete CPI, MAP, and/or Safety Care training (preferred if already certified)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass background checks (CORI, fingerprinting, etc.)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
