Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Schedule: Saturdays | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Branford, CT (with travel between nearby program locations)
Arbor Associates is seeking a reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adult individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential/day program setting in Branford. This is a consistent Saturday shift with the opportunity to pick up additional hours based on availability.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable staying active, adapting to different environments, and providing consistent, hands-on support.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct care and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities
- Support individuals with daily routines, community activities, and skill-building
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment
- Utilize behavior management and de-escalation techniques as needed
- Assist with transportation between program locations
- Accurately document shift activity and communicate with team members

Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- PMT (Physical Management Training) preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
- Willingness to travel between locations during shifts
- Ability to remain active, flexible, and engaged throughout the day
- Strong communication and reliability
Training Requirement:
- Must be available to complete 3 days of weekday (day shift) training prior to starting
