Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Per Diem
Schedule: 1st & 2nd Shifts (As Needed)
Location: West Greenwich & West Warwick, RI
Setting: Adult Group Home (Males with Developmental Disabilities & Behavioral Health Needs)

Arbor Associates is seeking energetic and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for per diem coverage in a residential group home setting. This role supports adult males with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges and requires someone who is comfortable being hands-on, engaged, and consistent.

If you’re the type who doesn’t just supervise—but actively connects, engages, and brings energy into your shifts—this is where you’ll stand out.

What You’ll Do

  • Support individuals in a structured group home environment
  • Assist with ADLs (hygiene, meals, daily routines)
  • Actively engage clients—this is not a sit-back role
  • Provide support around behavioral and developmental needs
  • Maintain consistency and communicate with the team


What We’re Looking For

  • 1st (7am - 3 pm) and/or 2nd (3 pm - 11pm) shift availability
  • Must be able to work in West Warwick
  • Comfortable with behavioral challenges
  • Outgoing, hands-on, and reliable
  • Experience in DSP or human services is a plus

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements: 
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in Direct Care or Human Services, or in roles like CNA, Residential Counselor, HHA, Mental Health Worker, Caregiver, childcare worker, PCA, or similar.  
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.  
  • Willingness to obtain additional on-the-job training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques, Medication Administration (MAP), or Safety Care as required for each worksite.  
  • Reliable transportation & active, valid driver's license  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  
  • Ability to pass extensive background screening, including fingerprinting with agencies like the EEC or DDS.  
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as the role requires.
