Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Float / Per Diem
Schedule: Primarily 2nd Shift (3 pm - 11pm) & Weekends (with some weekday availability a must)
Location: Travel between Agawam & Amherst, MA
Type: Per Diem / Same-Day Coverage

Arbor Associates is seeking dependable and flexible Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support last-minute and same-day staffing needs across programs from Agawam to Amherst. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants flexibility, variety, and the ability to pick up shifts quickly. If you’re someone who can pivot, show up, and deliver consistent care, this role will keep you moving and make an immediate impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct care and supervision in residential and/or program settings
  • Step into shifts on short notice to maintain continuity of care
  • Support individuals with daily living skills, routines, and community engagement
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and follow behavior support plans
  • Accurately document shift activity and communicate with team members

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license (required)
  • Ability to travel between Agawam and Amherst as needed
  • Must be able to pass EEC background requirements - including a fingerprint verification
  • Experience in human services or DSP roles preferred
  • Strong flexibility, reliability, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new environments
