Schedule: 1st & 2nd Shifts (Weekends Required)
Location: East Granby, CT
Arbor Associates is seeking dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals in a residential setting in East Granby. This role requires consistency, professionalism, and the ability to provide structured, hands-on support across both first and second shifts, including weekends. Please note: This position may involve supporting Male personal care needs where client privacy and program requirements must be maintained. Assignments will be made in alignment with those needs. What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct care and supervision in a residential setting
- Support individuals with daily living skills, routines, and community engagement
- Assist with ADLs while maintaining dignity and privacy
- Implement behavior support strategies as needed
- Transport individuals to appointments and activities
- Accurately document shift activity and communicate with team members

Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience in Direct Care or Human Services, or in roles like CNA, Residential Counselor, HHA, Mental Health Worker, Caregiver, childcare worker, PCA, or similar.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Willingness to obtain additional on-the-job training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques, Medication Administration (MAP), or Safety Care as required for each worksite.
- Reliable transportation & active, valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass extensive background screening, including fingerprinting with agencies like the EEC or DDS.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as the role requires.
