Transportation & Food Coordinator – Make an Impact Every Day

About the Role
As a Transportation & Food Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting daily program operations by managing client transportation, coordinating appointments, and overseeing food services. This position is essential in ensuring clients have access to resources, appointments, and a safe, well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Coordination
  • Coordinate and schedule client appointments and maintain daily logs 
  • Transport clients to appointments, meetings, and essential services 
  • Maintain vehicle logs and ensure proper maintenance of program vehicles 
Food Program Support
  • Purchase food and maintain inventory of supplies 
  • Assist clients with meal planning and grocery lists 
  • Ensure proper food storage and kitchen organization 
  • Educate clients on nutrition, food safety, and budget-friendly meal preparation 
  • Attend required food safety and compliance trainings (ServSafe, OSHA, etc.) 
Client Support & Engagement
  • Assist clients with vocational activities, job search, and community involvement 
  • Provide guidance in daily living skills and promote independence 
  • Build supportive relationships and respond to client needs 
Administrative & Program Support
  • Support office operations when not transporting clients 
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and program regulations

Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements 
  • Comfortable driving a van and transporting clients 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. 
  • Understanding of addiction and recovery principles (12-step knowledge preferred) 
  • Ability to pass required background screenings
