Program Assistant
Beverly, MA | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Arbor Associates is seeking a compassionate, organized, and tech-savvy Program Assistant to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a vocational day program setting in Beverly, MA.
This position combines office and administrative responsibilities with hands-on participant support. The Program Assistant will help individuals build vocational, social, and life skills while assisting with daily program operations in a structured and supportive environment.
- Provide direct support to individuals participating in vocational and community-based activities
- Assist participants with developing job readiness, office, and life skills
- Encourage independence, social engagement, and community inclusion
- Support participants with daily activities as needed, including meal assistance and mobility support
- Utilize computers and office software for documentation, scheduling, and daily reporting
- Maintain accurate program records and participant documentation
- Assist with attendance tracking, activity coordination, and program organization
- Support communication between staff, participants, families, and community partners
- Help organize vocational activities and classroom materials
- Maintain a safe, clean, and structured program environment
- Work collaboratively with program staff to support participant goals and daily operations
- Follow all agency policies, confidentiality standards, and safety procedures
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude at all times
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in human services, day programs, education, caregiving, or office support preferred
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, email, and basic technology
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional demeanor
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment
- Ability to provide structure, encouragement, and positive behavioral support
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt to changing participant and program needs
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist participants throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor program activities

Judith Saraf joined Arbor in 2023 as the Human Resources Manager, responsible for overseeing HR functions and teams. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Plymouth State University and brings with her over 27 years of Human Resources related experience and knowledge working in the healthcare and hospitality fields. Judith has assisted companies streamline and implement HRIS systems, lead organizations through the shift to consumer driven health plans, executed talent management strategies including recruitment and retention initiatives and has many years of experience with internal employee and labor relations. She has a passion for employee engagement with creative programs and is one of many things she looks forward to bringing to the Arbor team. When not at work, she enjoys painting, and spending time with her husband and 3 sons. Judith also enjoys volunteering with “A Wish Come True” - a nonprofit that delivers wishes to critically ill children in Southeastern MA and Rhode Island.
